Call a union rep then. You don’t see mngnt discussing their initiatives and plans on an open forum.

Except this was asking about what was discussed in the town hall meeting. No secrets there, just information. No harm in sharing that.

It’s company specific related and no press release was issued by the company to the public on the town hall(s) so I feel no desire to blast out any additional company information that wasn’t shared with the public or the shareholders... I find it stupid on the pilot base part to just always be such an open book with everything. A simple phone call to a rep will answer all the questions and more. Don’t be lazy.

you must work for the union. Call your rep. Check the base chat (which is public too), read your email. Ridiculous. If someone asks a question and you know the answer then tell them. All this phony secrecy is just a ploy to hid the bs.

not at all. I’m actually not a big fan of the union. I’ve been surprised a few times now what a simple text and/or call gets me for information.

Pilots never cease to amaze me...asking the same questions over and over again..

To be fair the questions may have been submitted before others were answered. It’s typically a moderator’s job to filter redundant questions. At least no one asked if they have to do distance learning while on furlough/EIL.

So what was the summary?

They will have to crunch the numbers after the bids close. When they determine the amount of payroll saved, then they can calculate the number of furloughs. System bid must open by the 20th, so I’d expect information very shortly. We have 9 planes in the desert now. If I heard them correctly, they are taking more out there. I think he said a total of 30, but my phone kinda broke up when he said it. They will continue to evaluate and adjust as necessary. Still expecting somewhat regular flying by next summer. It was asked repeatedly if there is a number of furloughs mitigated depending on EIL/VIL participation. Not really. It’s a total amount of payroll $ saved that will determine the furlough number. Seemed doubtful to me that even with 100% participation that furloughs would be 0. Very noncommittal on that point though. That was about it
