EIL/VIL early returns

I see company is soliciting for early returns from VIL/EIL, again. Do they see a need for additional flying in early summer of is it just PPP covering payroll, so it saves money? Not many takers very many takers last time they offered it

My guess is both. Even before this latest Covid Bill (with more Payroll money) they were asking for returns at the end of Dec.

Now, due to the bills language/terms, I believe they have to offer returns again. Nothing in our MOU that makes it so they mandatorily bring people back, but in order to comply they needed to offer it.

Given this happened before the Bill, I do think it’s both. Frontier is officially hiring and running upgrades and a class in March.

We are bigger than F9 so whatever data they are seeing in terms of bookings/outlook, it will absolutely be the same story for us. No question about that.

We will also be hiring starting in March or April 👍

Nothing official has come out yet, so just a Facebook rumor for now.

Think they offered to bring back people early to avoid a training backlog.

Well, regardless nothing has been mentioned officially about hiring. It’s only rumors at this point.

huge announcement coming Monday! (and no this isn’t me BS’ing again, check your Email from SpiritLink)

https://concert.spirit.com/

my guess is Brett Young is going to play a concert on one of our flights and have a big super-spreader party. He is going to sing a song about new destinations we are flying to once to once ‘rona is almost done and announce we are hiring again an EWR base.

or maybe he will play a rendition of “drunk on a plane” and announce for a third time that we are getting WIFI.

FlyGuy2002 01-22-2021 05:51 AM

He’s from Orange County and had an album called; “ticket to LA” .. maybe some new SoCal routes? New destination like Ontario? Or maybe it’s free smile month .. who knows

So I don’t see anywhere on here where airline crew members are exempt. So if we get back from international trip we’re done for 14 days?so what if we commute from international city? if we have some vacation coming up going to Cancun are we forced to cancel that or is that company going to give us 14 days when we get back from our trip? Lots of questions I guess.

While I’m not 100% sure, I believe airline employees are still “essential “ and not bound by the 14 day quarantine. I assume that the letter they sent us last March will still be in effect.
