Seems like you have the answer then. Since you’d be a new hire expect to sit reserve for at least a year, so you’d be commuting to a crashpad. There appears to be 1 flight from MEM-MCO which I’m sure you already saw. Two flights from MEM-MIA which will just be a co-domicile with FLL. 3 flights MEM-LAS. If you have choices to work somewhere else that’s more commutable I’d consider them.

and increasing
I thought the times would go down due to the increased attrition? I’m starting next week and am looking to get MCO as I live in TPA EDIT: Oh wait, probably because they have limited captain upgrades to prioritize new hires… |
Attrition is likely hurting reserve staffing as most the folks leaving have less than 1-2 years on property, resulting in constant churn at the bottom and a small increase in net headcount at the bottom

Fed ex is a first choice option for many regardless but living in MEM it’s a no brainer. Money, QOL, and retirement will not be matched.
|
I am ORD based with Spirit, and commute from MEM and also BNA, since I live roughly halfway between the two. I haven’t had much issue getting to/from work between those two. FDX is nice option as well.

🤣🤣🤣 because it’s that easy.
At least according to the YTD attrition, we’ve had zero pilots go to FedEx. Can’t be that hard, haha. |
