Onboarding

I received a CJO from spirit about a month ago. Class date 7/25. They sent me the paper tigers, I filled out the onboarding material, got logged into LMS to review the study material. I've emailed like 4 people that sent me things to complete, to make sure everything was finished. Ive had nothing but radio silence and no replies to emails for over a week now. Has anybody had an issue with contacting personnel at Spirit prior to class date? or have a point of contact I might be able to correspond with. The onboarding email address is currently on 10 days with no reply + a follow up email.

Welcome to Spirit! This is the norm. At this point for you I'd say no news is good news. They'll reach out in a hurry if there's something they want from you. Don't expect any replies for you from anyone in the office though. Good luck and let us know when you're leaving for United!

Probably trying to decide if they should give you a NK number or B6 one.

In all honesty though, NK is not great about communication at this level of the process so I wouldn't be too concerned yet.

Welcome! Getting you prepped for further frustrations.

You can catch the recruiting team in Melbourne July 9-10, Brisbane 12-13, Sydney 15-16. Kill 2 birds with one stone and ask your questions. Good luck.

Welcome aboard, it doesn't get any better.

You qualify for food stamps until you finish OE too! Get that application filled out.

You know, that's not a bad idea.

I proposed they hand out the food stamp applications during INDOC, they didn’t like that suggestion.

Kinda like how SkyWorst asked their pilots not to apply while in uniform?

We have personnel?

Directautogroup 06-17-2022 11:02 PM

Most of our HR is outsourced to valued business partners. Good luck.

DrDHD 06-18-2022 12:47 AM

This is how Spirit works. Will be the same on the line. No communication when you are stuck without a hotel or transportation on the road and end up paying for it yourself. Welcome

Gotta keep some credit reserve on the credit card to pay for the taxis and hotels on overnight

we eventually get made whole and get payment for the hotels and taxis after the fact. But we shouldn’t have to do this on a regular basis.

Haha. Damn, how low is your credit limit/high is your balance, that you have to keep an amount open on it.

So I asked Onboarding if I could delay my training date a month. From reading this thread I guess I can expect radio silence until right before the training date and/or not to hear back from them anytime soon?

Yeah, about 100 spots, as long as the classes are full.

Not really. There's like 2 people left from a class that started a month before me.

And then 50% of them will leave within a year.

agree. Delay as along as you need and want. Most of your fellow classmates in your class and those previous will be out within months. Update your apps as soon as you sign that fresh a320 type

Spirit really lives rent free in that head of yours, doesn’t it?

The really correct answer would have been to ignore the question until it is too late.

Drug Test

Are they pretty flexible on the drug test timeline? I was given 48 hours to complete it and I’m in the middle of the trip and keep getting reassigned to min rest and overnights. I’m trying really hard to find a site near my layover but my schedule keeps changing. I’ve informed them on the HireRight but no response.

Drug Screening

Has anyone has any luck extending the deadline for the drug screen. I’ve emailed onboarding and filled out the hireright extension form. I’m on a trip that keeps getting reassigned into min rest overnights.
