TEM
Something about this briefing card carries an embedded effort by some mil guy/gal to validate their presence. There is almost a familiar stench to this bag of excrement in which someone was laughed out of their squadron after attempting to add this to the daily briefing…better yet they hoped for an actual SAFIRE Event in Theater and all they endured was warm jimmy deans and the gut wrenching aroma of the desert baked Porto Johnnies.
From some of us that have actually experienced a threat…enjoy a satchel of richards for ruining this fun civilian experience with a useless run down memory lane |
Lighten up Francis.

But what I will agree with you as I think the training department is getting really ridiculous and being hell-bent with making our training align with Airbuses. I think somebody just has to make a name for themselves. it’s getting really ridiculous… please don’t get me started on FMS version 2… |

When you have revolving middle management you get constant change. When JetBlue takes over expect it to change again. That’s what’s funny about all this massive fltops manual changes coming. Why change everything to just have it change again in a couple years. Just stick w what we got and ride it out

We do have decent training here though, You will know what you have to know and for anything else there’s a checklist, guide, or something laying around the cockpit or in your iPad. Don’t plan on knowing about how the plane works though, they leave out anything you don’t directly interact with or the airplane does on its own. There is a systems manual in our iPads if it intrigues you but not much in there is evaluated on. |

Plenty of TEM stuff on the blue side too. Walk around our school house and those Swiss cheese model posters are plastered all over the place like it’s a deli.

So when do we start using these new TEM procedures? August 29th, 00:01. But is it Station local time like the airworthiness, or UTC like MEL expirations, (in the same logbook), or 09:00Z like the database? Almost wish we used Herb time……

Did I miss a memo? Been off a few weeks. What’s changed

they should have kept "flight instruments". I have caught a problem with perf data, FDs, altitude, more than once on that item.

TEM is an FAA thing.
It can also come in handy when there's a lot going on and you're tired at the end of a long day. That's when I've learned to slow down and get methodical. |

Because they are all going to be looking for jobs in a couple of years and they have to be able to show they did some sort of project to improve things that they can talk about when answering in the STAR format.
