TBNT
Hi all, does Spirit send TBNT emails out or does ur app just sit forever if you are not getting the call?
|
If you’re not getting a response it probably means you’re not competitive in the hiring pool. There’s an MTC coming up next month, worth a shot if you have an ATP and a bit of jet time

So I did the phone interview in February and got the “apply in 6 months” email. Is it worth it going to a meet the chiefs or apply agin in 6 months or 3 months??
1700ish 800 121 SIC. |

1700ish 800 121 SIC. If you got TBNT after the phone interview, I’d be willing to bet they didn’t like your “why spirit” answer and expect you to immediately jump ship to a legacy - which, with 800 hours of 121 sic, is probably a good bet and a red flag to them |

1700ish 800 121 SIC. 1700TT, 800 121 mathematical sense makes not |

You could certainly try. That’s the only way to find out!

I applied and within less than 24 hours I had the phone interview. |

If you don’t plan to stay at spirit, then I don’t see why you’d want ti waste 3 months in training. Fly a few more months at the regional and go to a legacy. If you do actually want to stay here, answering that question shouldn’t be too difficult. |
First officer mins on the website are 1500. Is that only for mil bros? Or are they also hiring CFI's with no jet experience into the right seat? If so have they also changed their training program to accommodate former CFI's. I hear Spirit initial isn't the easiest of things.

do you mean make it easier? Dumb it down? Lower the standards? More breaks? Milk and cookies? Field trips to petting zoos? What? |

CFI's are getting hired at 1500 +. Aviation interviews shows a lot of the most recent interviewees and their times--more lower time guys and girls nowadays. ATP now has programs for their students with Frontier/Spirit/etc.

They've added additional FTD lessons along with 1 FFS lesson to accommodate the lesser experienced students. Also if you're coming in with a R-ATP, OE is now planned towards 50 hours. According to the LCAs I've flown with lately the failure rate is still high.

They have changed it a bit. They now do 6 sims before your type ride. Not sure about FTDs. Anyone who comes in outside of the pathway program and is going to pay for CTP out of pocket, I recommend doing ATP CTP in a 320 sim
