I can’t speak on the commuting aspect of flying for Spirit. I usually hold weekends off as a junior reserve guy. YMMV. 3) We have plenty of premium flying going around right now at 200%. 4) Everyone I talk to is happy here. If you’re young and live in a legacy, lots of CAs will encourage you to move on due to the merger, but it’s an overall good pilot group with good morale. 5) Budget for minimum guarantee, but breaking 100k isn’t unrealistic if you work some premium trips. Again, living in base is key. 6) 3 years is for upgrade in a junior base and you’ll be on reserve for over a year. Some people don’t upgrade because they wait until they can hold a line on the CA side. Again, YMMV. Good luck! |

1) You should be able to hold it on the first or second vacancy bid. Pretty junior right now.

JetBlue being an east coast airline is one of the big reasons they are buying NK, they can’t continue only being an east coast airline. |

Press release any day they we are getting all the delta A350s contingent that they are operated out of DTW in a half mint, half high density no seatbelt configuration
you’re almost right. By half mint half high density, it means plane by plane. So one plane will be fully mint and the other will hold 1,388 |
pilot instructors?
Hi all!
is it true that spirit is hiring pilot instructors (I think they call them senior flight ops instructors) at 140k? I have a friend that says he is interviewing for it. He has like 5000 hours? |
