Considering Spirit: looking for advice

Hello friends. I'm coming up on 1500 hours and I've heard good things about Spirit and the pilot QOL. I am Utah based and would be most interested in LAS as a base. I will have about 350-400 hours of PIC Turboprop time and I'm curious if that will help me as a potential new hire. I'm not a CFI, but I'm hopeful my turboprop experience will help me with a job offer. I've been professionally employed for 2 decades and have a 4 year Business degree.
If its possible, I'd much rather fly for Spirit than a regional operation, but I don't know what to believe in the current hiring market. Thanks in advance for advice and recommendations.

1) apply broadly
2) don't expect traction without the actual ATP
3) first job offer that moves the ball down the field - take it and keep at #1

Absolutely! Thanks, I plan on getting the ATP done too.

SLC. I will apply, but I don't imagine they are looking at 1500 hour pilots at Delta. But I really don't know. I've got the college degree, clean work/life history. I was planning on doing the ATP/CTP course on my own dime to check that box.

You'll need the written done to get looked at by the majors and spirit. Networking with spirit pilots / recruiters / chiefs can get you an interview once you're eligible for your ATP. If you have previous 135 time that will definitely help out as well. Guy I know got hired with about 200 hours of turbo prop time and 50 hours of multi.

Never assume. Everyone is play. Don’t commute if you don’t have to. It changes your life
