2 month vacation baby! ride is over for me next month though. Gonna miss this place after chapter 7 (sorry, I had to).

ahh, i see where i worded that poorly. reserve vacation is over next month because i bid a line. "i had to" make a joke about us going bankrupt.

That's what my FOs tell me. Sounds great if you live local. Awful if you have to commute to a crashpad.

one call this month for a 5 hour turn. Living in base definitely feels like paid leave.

I have worked 20 days since Oct 1.

Listing CMF gets you at least one flight+DH pairing every other month. Really skews the average.

How's that QOL going on for you? Reserve can't even pick up flying on days off, really? what were they thinking? What a crapped up union! get the **** outta here while you still can!

Never understood the open time for lineholders only

Rsv can get 200% on the x/y list like anyone else. If a bunch of rsv was picking up on days off there would be little to trade with bc rsv would stack their lines hoping to not actually work on rsv days and fly on all their days off. Would also eliminate 200% events bc rsv would pick up all the open time.

Working on my days off doesn't sound like great QOL to me personally, but to each his own.

right? If I fly reserve, it’s because I really don’t want to work at all, not because I want to be stuck at home for the days that I’m on call only to turn around and be stuck at work on the days that I’m supposed to be off.

I don't know. Doesn't sound like a lot of flexibilty to me. X/Y list really is company descrition, and useless on days like this. So I don't really get the brag about the QOL bs.

Yes. And going 3+ weeks without any flying in bases more junior than ORD.

You have a serious issue if you think not being able to pick up trips on reserve is bashing QOL.
