Almost water landing?
https://www.cbsnews.com/amp/news/spirit-airlines-passengers-told-to-put-on-life-vests-suspected-mechanical-issue/
now I realize I wasn’t there and I don’t know all the details but really, they told them to prepare for a water landing just in case? this really had to have been a really severe “mechanical failure.” did we just have a overzealous new captain? thoughts? |

Uh, I have questions.

Sounds like some new FAs either freaked out or misunderstood. No CA worth a damn would brief a ditching for a loss of pressurization.

FA wanted an mbj ron is my assumption. No better way than destroying every lifevest on the aircraft at an island outstation.

A little more detail. Hopefully the news has this wrong. Will be a tough conversation with the CP I’m sure but in reality I don’t imagine anything bad happening to them as tech they were over water. |

Reading the comments to that article (I know I know) someone confirmed their son was on that flight and heard the water landing comment.

Yeah except you have passengers saying they heard the CA make a PA stating the same thing. Could be bull crap for sure I was just going off the article that was linked and some of the comments.

Please stop quarterbacking this topic.
