Flight Attendant furloughs

1800 FAs furloughed

Are these the first ones to get furloughed?

Laying off 1/3 of Flight Attendants? Is this in line with the number of pilot furloughs to date as a percentage?

Probably similar, but they're doing this despite having 800 FAs on unpaid voluntary leave. So it seems pretty bad.

Just to understand the numbers as an outsider.

Spirit has roughly 3280 pilots with 164 already on furlough and another 270 scheduled to be. So roughly 13-14%.

The news reports say 1/3 of the flight attendants are being furloughed.

Hoping that the pilot percentage doesn’t rise to match the F/A’s.

Spirit has furloughed pilots 3 times now, the pilot group after this round will be around 2,400.

these numbers are way off. Like the other comment said, after this next furlough, we will be at about 2470 pilots on the active list. The highest we got to was just over 3700.

Ok thanks.

The company also recently asked for 500ish "voluntary" FA displacements to Florida split between MCO and FLL, presumably to preclude any involuntary displacement costs.

3700-2470 =1,230…..how many are furloughs still on the seniority list and how many just left to go somewhere else?

Not good with public math, but that sounds like 1/3 to me.
