Currently we are number three for on-time for the month!!!. DL 84.7 HA 83.1 NK 82.8!!! Fantastic job!!! Despite an upcoming concession and possibly more furloughs we are wiping the floor with the competition when it comes to operational reliability. Clearly the crews that are still here are the core strength of this airline. Upper management is shocked at how well the airline is running and prospective buyers have taken notice. In airline history when USAir, United, Delta and American took concessions and had furloughs their entire operation went to sh!t for years. It was clearly due to crews trying to show how disgruntled they were by causing delays, wasting fuel and abuse of sick time. We are braking the tired old airline pilot mold of throwing adult temper tantrums when things don’t go our way. Spirit pilots are taking the high road and are performing better than we ever have in our entire history. There is a real sense of camaraderie in the cockpit. We are the underdogs, we have always been the underdogs and we are not giving up. We purged the ranks thanks to legacy’s flood gates opening. The only ones left are the best. We are the safest and most reliable airline in the country. Body count ZERO. Hull loss ZERO.

Someone very important visited recurrent GS this week and he is quoted as saying “if you are willing to stick it out for little while longer, I can assure you that GOOD THINGS ARE COMING OUR WAY”.

Skewed stats, like most of these airline stat stories and the writer uses incident and accident interchangeably...United with none; guess the NYPost overlooked when the feds were up their rear ends with a telescope, couple of stray tires, bent 767 in IAH, and the oceanic low-pass that triple made, cowlings dropping near Denver...we can go on. No one is perfect, but this is pretty much a tabloid article.
