Which is why I edited my post to add clarity.

Do you troll restaurant forums to protest why your menu didn't have the taxes included in the choices too?

Been hearing rumors of ORD for about 2 years, but what would that have to do with publishing awards in a timely manner? Or the lawsuit for that matter?

It has nothing to do with the lawsuit - that's just a guy on this forum stirring the pot.

If there was/is a plan to introduce a vacancy bid for ORD, that would also potentially increase costs further, especially if you're being forced to pay for reductions in DTW when you could get some DTW guys to voluntarily bid ORD, if you announced ORD first. That's my best guess for the 're: ORD' angle - its a long shot, at best.

Of course, that might look like a 'win' for Spirit ALPA, so, there's the cost of that too to consider.

That's what I thought! Like LAS and DFW, announce, crew the base, let voluntary ppl take it, then make the move in DTW, obviously this wasn't thought thoroughly, but who knows, crime of passion I guess!

So someone you disagree with is suddenly a total waste of time. This coming from a guy who loves his management despite they slap in the face they threw at you in regards to KCM. Don't drink that KoolAid too hard.

And "unintended government consequence fee." Give me a break. Thankfully there is a law that says the prices including all taxes and fees must be disclosed.

......then it should be that way for all "goods and services rendered", not just the airlines. Automobiles, housing, food, clothing etc etc etc. should all be that way as well??

Don't just single-out the airlines.

Spirit, Allegiant, and Southwest are suing the DOT over the rule that requires you publish the cost of an airline ticket to include all the taxes and fees that the government collects. Other than gas, prices in the US never include all the taxes and fees, so why should airlines be singled out? While Allegiant and Southwest are laying low, Spirit is engaged in a much more public campaign.
Southwest doesn't want people to see the full cost, because they need to continue to trick the general public into thinking SWA is a low fare airline. That's why you can only purchase tickets at southwest.com. Many times SWA is more expensive then the other carriers.

I believe the only other airline to do so was Alaska.
Delta also returned the taxes collected during the 2011 FAA shutdown.
