Quick question for current NK pilots, could you provide some bullet point answers regarding your QOL?
-Hard line or PBS
-Ballpark avg days off/credit
-commuter policy?
-quality of overnight hotels, Howard Johnson or SPG?
-scheduling issues? ie, JM's, EX's "fly it, grieve it later" attitude??
-support/culture in CP's office?
Thanks for taking the time...

Avg days off 15/74 hrs of credit (there are some credit boosting opportunities)
Mostly good hotels (no HOJOs) locations are debatable
Scheduling issues... Hmmm, depends on the month and your luck I guess
I have yet to have a problem with the CPO

Does anyone have the key to cracking the open time code. I'm not senior enough to get a good line in FLL. Nor senior enough to modify it in initial open time. After months of disappointment in open time I changed from bidding on my iPad to using a pc both had hi speed internet connection. Was in the waiting room and started hitting the keys at 12 noon. Final result, 13 requests, hours later 13 denials. What am I doing wrong?

- JMs are voluntary
- Not a "fly it and grieve it later" culture from what I've seen in my 2+ years here
I think that covers everything that hasn't already been answered.

If you aren't willing to fill out an NCC then please don't bother posting here about this issue again.
The MEC can file a grievance anytime they want. You think they aren't aware that DOT is not automated? What does your NCC do? Nothing but notify the MEC you have an issue. Did you contact your supervisor prior to filing your NCC?

Hard Line.
17-19 days off, 85-95 hours credit
Excellent commuter policy, two flights. N/A for me.
Layover hotels are excellent, not long enough.
No sked issues. Junior Man if you want it, I've had no problem with skeds.
Really enjoy the culture, never had an issue with the CP. I know them, great people, but my overriding philosophy is to not get hassled, so I follow the rules, don't do anything dumb, dangerous, or different and I've never had a problem.
I've been here 2+ years, I get transition conflicts, usually my top 10 choices for bid, and am sitting in the top 1/4 in base. It's been a great ride so far.
Let me add, because everyone's experience is a little different.

Thats over 6 hours / day in a 31 day month. You must be getting a heck of a transition monthly, or you're bidding from a different package than I am.
Ya I am no where near that for an average. 2.5 yrs LAS base

If you don't live in base, you really can't make money, It's just the way the pairings (min day/ trip averaging) are built. Precisely why I will never understand why guys here have such a Hard-on for 150% open time pick up. Our energy should be spent on making a solid hourly rate, with a DC plan so we can all make good money on 72 hours.
