Because we're starting to hire misfits. All the good ones I've met aren't just ****ed they're getting out.

And let's all take a look at those numbers again and know that there are 2 yr narrowbody captains at delta and 3yr widebody fos at united. So in total compensation you make more than every pilot at spirit in one year delta and two years at united.

From 1999-"AMR Corp.'s American Airlines, facing increased flight cancellations, threatened to sue its pilots' union if a sickout isn't called off by the busy President's Day holiday weekend.

American said it canceled 500 flights, or 22% of its schedule of 2,250 departures Monday as a result of a shortage of pilots. The pilots had been encouraged by union leaders to call in sick if they did not feel "physically or mentally" up to flying. On Sunday, American canceled 240 flights because of a lack of pilots, up from 90 flights on Saturday."
Dude, you forgot the part about the pilots getting slapped with a $45M fine. How much OT will it take to pay off THAT assessment?

Another thing, what happens to that MCF grant we need from ALPA to pay for all the SPSC activities? The picketing, billboards, newspaper ads you guys love so much? You don't follow their play book, and take their legal advise they can shut down the cash flow.

You know a grant from ALPA in VA could pay off most of that fine. Getting a new contract that will pay my bills is worth the fine.

How they make their revenue behind the door is not my concern. For all we know they will change us into an all first class airline next week. My job is the same no matter what they do and I expect professional compensation.

Oh and cujo get the fukc out of here

We all fly airplanes for work at our respective Airline. Same stuff. But Pilots using the term ultra-low-cost carrier to Define anything about their company or their jobs is poison in itself in my opinion. Plays right into the hands of those management types that made the terms up in the first place.
If you call a goose a duck long enough pretty soon Believe It or Not people are going to start agreeing with you.

First off, national would not pay the fine for the work action they told you not to do. Second, that action would get shut down so fast it would have nearly zero effect on the company. It would set negotiations back, and p1ss off the mediator. It certainly won't get you a cba any faster.

Id say the only thing lower than our pay is the amount of days I've worked in 2016!!!

35 to date and with a 3-day left for the year, grand total of 38!
