Ok everyone, lets see if i can get some simple answers to my questions. I know this is the 3rd thread and im sure some of these questions have been answered but it'll take me days to go through it and thats just silly. Before i get those of you to jump all over my case asking why im interestedin NK, I'll give you a quick background on my situation. Im currently flying turbine helicopters for a sheriffs office in florida. The job is good and has security with good benefits but things ffor me have changed. I resigned 4 years ago to fly for the regionals because it was a long time goal of mine to fly 121 and ultimatelymake it to the majors. Well, long story short, i had to return to the SO after a year and a half due to some personal family matters ( i became a single father). When i came back, i was no longer eligiblefor retirement benefits so it became a dead en for me. I'll be making 60k for the rest of my career with maybe a few cost of living raises here and there. I need to get back to the airlines and because im relatively a low time guy ( compared to other applicants), my options are slim. I have the requirements for NK but not much more. I figured i can only have a chance back at the regionals but id rather be at NK over a regional anyday of the week...i dont know if the would even give me the time of day but i figured i can take my chances. Anyway, i wanted to know about crew bases and senority. I live in florida so fll is the best option for me so id like to know how senior it is and how long it would take to hold after training. Thanks in advance!

It's closer to three million if you are 45. More if you're younger. Obviously in today's airline vacuum

Actually you're correct, as much as I hate to agree with anything you guys say on here, you're right. It's almost like the 70's again minus the under 30 only female FA's. Pilots are making a lot of money right now and we're getting ****.

Ramada Inn, on Dark Horse Pike. The cabbies there have a lock on the rates to and from the airport ($25/flag). The Ramada does (did?) Have a shuttle.

No one's denying that. Not sure why you keep on bring it up. Management even tells everyone flat out, if you want legacy wages, go to a legacy, cause you ain't getting it here. And generally speaking, no one have ever chosen Spirit over Delta.
If a legacy 320 captain makes $4,000,000 a year while Spirit CAs makes $150,000. It doesn't mean squat to a regional FO/CA making $40-70K when the only offer on the table is from NK, nor does it mean anything to current NK pilots without job offers from the legacies.
So dude, you're missing out MILLIONS, when are you leaving?

Walter Sobchak: Huh? No, what the **** are you... I'm not... We're talking about unchecked aggression here, dude.
Donny: What the **** is he talking about?
The Dude: My rug.
Walter Sobchak: Forget it, Donny, you're out of your element!

I was moderated by the moderators for expressing my discontent for spirit management's approach to negotiations. The words we all hear in the cockpit everyday and words used by most Americans in the workplace everyday with their peers are not acceptable here. Lighten up APC, this isn't dinner with your grandma.

A word of encouragement: Ignore what management says. They can say whatever they want as long as they're able to drag "negotiations" out under the RLA. But if Spirit pilots have the fortitude to wait out a release to self-help by the NLRB, the sky's the limit. Faced with the very real prospect of having 100 of their planes parked indefinitely, management will surely change their tune. Until then, it's all posturing. Don't let it get you down.
