Spirit of NKS, Part IV

I do not entirely disagree, however I presently have other priorities.
After we sign the NON CONCESSIONARY contract we deserve, I will be focusing on "uniforming" the dress code.
Till then the ONLY dress code I am willing to enforce is that green "noose" around our crews neck...

CPs are busy calling pilots on sick calls, do you want to give them more work?

To put it in perspective, some guys are the "Bendo" when it comes to looking the part, untucked polos and jeans doesn't look the part of a COO; neither does NorthFace and dockers for a pilot.
I agree with you about the lanyard. I'll leave it all at that.

There should not be more uniform options. There should be only ONE. It's called looking uniform. I hate the lanyard but you bet your butt I wear it. Who cares what the pax think. If anyone asks I tell them we are in negotiations and letting our boss know we don't come at a discount even if they choose to run an ULCC this week or all first class the next. It's a sign of unity for our group. It shows the guy you're working with you are on board and not going to work for some crap Allegiant contract.
The picketing is also a sign of unity to the group. Management cares very little when the numbers are small but when several hundred show up it proves we wil not settle for a discount contract and unifies the group by proving we have the numbers to get it done.
Not wearing the lanyard and not showing up to the picketing makes me and others think "maybe this guy will vote yes to anything and is just happy it's better than his regional". You wear the lanyard and the rest of us know you stand together.
And just wear the dang uniform already. You want the money, dress the part! You like getting paid like a slob that's worth nothing. Keep dressing that way.

I just can't believe the media doesn't care or doesn't know. I mean, I think that would make for a good news story. The headline "Everyday a major airline is cancelling dozens of flights"
That would give us a lot of leverage!
