It’s not really a fatigue issue. How can guys call out on 5/6 day trips fatigued when you have 2 - 3 days off in between ( besides the line I pointed out). If your genuinely fatigued by all means call out.

I was simply pointing out that the QOL of 80% of the pilot group has reduced drastically with the new way the lines are built with 5 and 6 day trips.

As for the other comments on being able to switch and trade trips, that's a crap shoot. Besides initial open time, no one is going to pick up your crappy 5/6/7 day trip.

If they are going to keep running trips and lines as is, time to go back to the negotiating table. If I wanted to be away from home 2/3rds of the month /year I would have picked a cargo carrier that compensates at industry standard. If you want to fly us like cargo pilots, pay us like cargo pilots.

I think the day is coming when Sunny needs to decide if they want to be a passenger airline with a cargo operation on the side or go cargo and do ad hoc pax charters like Atlas does.

So far SC has held firm on not going supplemental on the cargo operations. Think that’s to the pilots benefit, as all cargo carriers are asking for 117.

The only official announcement was for Nov and Dec classes. After that it's speculation. I think the hiring will continue as long as Amazon continues to give us airplanes and/or vacation demand works its way back.

I’m glad to hear that Sunny is hiring again. I submitted an app about 6 months ago and just updated it last week. Hoping to hear for a good outcome for myself and others who have submitted apps recently. There will always be critics who don’t like the way an airline is being run, but there must have been a reason why you decided to fly there in the first place. I would be absolutely honored to fly for Sunny! If someone is able to give some internal updates on hiring every so often, that would be greatly appreciated; thanks guys!

last week I heard they have about 900+/- apps in the bank compared to about 50 before COVID hit. Scoring priority goes to internal recs first. must have an ATP
