More flying they are getting 3 new Amazon planes this is what I know that 3 pilots have told me there. And there pax side is picking up as well.

1) -700 pax
30) -800 pax
12) -800 cargo
industry usually has a 10 or 11 to 1 ratio of pilots to airplanes so based on that we need 430-473, we are currently short 43-86, hence the rumor mill saying 50 new hires.

From the water cooler talk it sounds like a lot of the pilots have been taken out of the hiring equation. Lucky for him Fed ex gave him the nod. Worked out in the end.
