Was told by the CP yesterday that SC might be up to 17 737's by next spring, if so they will need to hire 11 more pilots in the spring. I think the original plan was to just go from 14 to 16 airframes. Also he said there will be 6 retirements starting with the first one in Jan. So 6 more upgrades.
He said also told me the average reserve usage is 5.5 days/month, any truth to that?
Also, we are going to be given Ipads for training, but then we have to give them back

Heard at HQ today they signed an agreement to buy a simulator. Apparently the break even point for a simulator is 18-20 airplanes....So Im speculating some growth in the near future. Also heard there is a class of 2 FO's 4 CA at the end of November then a class of 6 FO's in Jan. With a few classes to follow next spring. Total fleet is still scheduled to be 16 planes next year with 19 total for the busy winter season.
