Default B Fund?
Can anyone speak to the “B Fund is 4%” on the Sun Country APC page? It appears to me that the B Fund is actually a 2% DC with 100% match of a 6% employee contribution. Is the 4% old/erroneous, or maybe I’m misunderstanding something?

It’s not correct. No B fund of 4%. 2% DC and 6% match is correct.

How does vesting work? 100% immediately? So much per year for X years? 5-year cliff?

goes by years of service:
1 year - 30%
2 years - 60%
3 years - 100%

More than likely bases aren’t going to come back up for conversation until 6 months prior to the contract being amendable, since arbitration sided with the pilots and not the company on the PDX base.

The company wanted the pilot group to be subjected to some pretty messed up rules in order for the company to grow as if we were keeping them from growing somehow and as if growing was worth subjecting many of us to having to commute. It just didn’t make any sense.

Nothing is keeping them from opening up new domiciles in a responsible way but themselves. I wouldn’t hold my breath but many of us think they’ll eventually expand. Really it’s anyone’s guess if or when that will ever happen or if we’ll get bought or who knows. It’s a pretty big roll of the dice to come here.
