This provides some insight into currently available automation....

Robot Bricklayer. Costs $400K, slower than a human, doesn't do corners, and somebody has to load the bricks, and wipe off the excess mortar.

That reminds me of the days when AA management claimed new 50 seat RJs were more profitable than existing MD-80s.
