Default Proline 21 Question. Stumped.

Hello,

Both our Hawker 850 & 800XPi have Proline 21. For some reason, during descent & after selecting:

VNAV
VS or
Pitch,

only one of our aircraft displays the curved white line on the MFD referencing the aircrafts approximate position where it will reach the descending altitude. It's just nice to have because it helps mitigate the requirement to constantly run mental 3 to 1 descent checks to comply with crossing restrictions.

Where should I go to have it "display" as it does on our other aircraft? Is it something I can find after selecting "References" on the control panel like I do for Baro settings, "V" speeds & engine N1 display?

Tailwinds!

Not a Hawker pilot, but look in "Symbols". CL and Globals have it there, IIRC.

On the MCDU, you have option of selecting, under menu, left and right. I believe you set what you want displayed. Should see the range to altitude, aka banana.

Our aircraft are ProLine 21 equipped with dual FMS-3000.
We get the 'banana' to display by selecting the below:

MFD MENU
PG 2
RNG: ALT SEL (highlight)

Also - to use VNAV to its' fullest extent during a crossing restriction, make the point in the FMS and use VNAV to hit the crossing fix.
E.G. - tonight on the way inbound to KDFW we were direct FINGR at 13,000'. ATC gave us 'cross 25 north of FINGR at 9,000 and then FINGR at 6,000.

I copied FINGR off the LEGS page and added /+25 and then inserted it above FINGR. I then added 9,000 to the LSK to the right of the new waypoint. Then I added 6,000 to FINGR, rolled my ALT down to 9,000 initially (to match the FMS ALT) and engage VNAV (btw - up came the 'banana').

Default APR v Nav Mode

Also, does anyone know what selecting APR actually enables? I know you use it for ILS and it enables NAV to NAV capture, but you can also use APR for LNAV/VNAV approaches.

I got the white "banana" now. Success going into KSTP today. Many thanks to all of you for your help &, in particular, USMCFLYR.
