Upgrade Training
What are some of the best books out there for upgrade training. Specifically Part 121 upgrade. There are plenty of good Pilot books and plenty of good leadership books, however I'm finding very few oriented specifically toward 121 El Capitan. Any suggestions....

For 121 upgrade, the best thing you can do is careful and exhaustive observation of the captains with whom you fly. See what they do. See what they don't do. Find things that you like, don't like, and begin to incorporate these observations in your own actions and plans. Note their cadence, their planning. Take the time to sit down over dinner and discuss their thoughts. Ask them about their day and preparing for a trip. Paperwork. Following a trip.
Far more useful than a book will be the first-hand examples that surround you.

I found the best thing was to spend about a year just observing how my captains dealt with different situations. As you get closer to upgrade, ask try some of the captains duties such as getting the daily briefing, preparing the weight and balance (we're still old school) or doing a mx write up. Ask questions as they arise, and study your companies AOM/GOM and other manuals. Being in the left seat really isn't rocket surgery, it just requires more of a top down approach to things than just driving the airplane.

Thanks for the suggestion fellows but I am actually looking for books, specifically. One would think of all the piles of aviation books on my shelf I could find a good one on amazon, jeppeson or sportys geared specifically toward a 121 upgrade program thats more dynamic than reading that snoozer of a GOM again.
If that book doesn't exist, someone should think about writing it. Buck buck$$$.
