Waas Helo...

Guess does the new Wide Area Augmentation System extend out to copter community as well? Is it feasible to think that instrument approach with glide slope information will soon be used to shoot IAPs to roof-top pads using WAAS?

it is just an avionics package. nothing else is different on the airplane/helo so i don't see why not. just using some deductive reasoning.

You gotta have some means of creating the approach, but it'd be sweet for the rotorheads

I heard that the FAA may license third parties to create RNP (and presumably WAAS/LAAS) approaches IAW TERPS guidance. That would save you a long wait to get your custom IAP approved.
