Something isn't just "breaking" during flight causing the masks to leak. (Altitude or pressure change could be accelerating a slow leak) But they either leak or they don't when O2 is armed. AND, O2 doesn't actually flow to the cabin masks until you manually select them to on, or the cabin alt press switch is tripped. ( So your leak is between the pilot/copilot masks and the bottle. Cabin masks should remain in the auto position until the ep calls for something different. What is the sn? If you work for one of the big 3 medivacs, they should all be able to remedy the write-up of " O2 bottle leaks down to 0psi in flight"

You came asking for info on the pc12s, but what you really wanted was an anonymous person that could justify you not following the OEM checklist or limitations. I really hope for the sake of your passengers you don't "modify" any other areas of the checklist or AFM to suit your preference. Good luck getting the FSDO to approve a checklist that contradicts the limitations set by Pilatus.

I also clearly said "I disagree with the practice as does my employer. I always follow the checklist but there is a strong push to stop turning on the O2 when we do our checklist."
I am not the one suggesting this. I am against this practice. I was asking for other pilots input because our pilots are considering this. I am looking to see if other pilots are doing this or if this is a known problem with the PC-12.
But since you can't "read" you have made a huge and impicilic leap of logic.

Damn, night IFR in a single? Not a chance you'd catch me doing that!
To your question: Don't change the CL. Dumb idea if it's off, and, during an emergency requiring O2, you forget to turn it on. Tell whomever came up with this bad idea that it's A BAD IDEA!

Yes, all of those night IFR SE airplanes just falling out of the sky.
Like the old saying:
If landing off airport at night, turn on the landing lights.
If you don't like what you see, turn the landing lights off.

Seriously?? Do you have ZERO reading comprehension? I clearly said three times this was NOT an actual situation. And three times you told me to write it up. HOW can I write up something that isn't happening? This was a hypothetical situation that happened to one of our other pilots. A guy who actually was a PC-12 instructor at his last company. He is suggesting we make this change.
I also clearly said "I disagree with the practice as does my employer. I always follow the checklist but there is a strong push to stop turning on the O2 when we do our checklist."

Have you tried turning the O2 lever ON as per checklist/SOP but turning PASSENGER OXYGEN to OFF (instead of AUTO, AFM says AUTO or OFF if no pax)? At least one private Pilatus here they do that. This way crew quick donning masks always have oxygen, Emergency Descend procedure and QRH (if your sn has one) calls for PASSENGER OXYGEN to AUTO anyway.
Exec. interior (armrest masks) masks are permanently connected, and yes they do leak sometimes.

Can one leaking in the back completely drain the whole tank in less than 1/2 an hour? POH says something like we should have over an hour with 1 crew and 1 pax breathing. I can't understand how one could leak all the air in less than 1/2 hour but that is the story I have been told.
