Load Masters

Hi all:
I might have the opportunity to be hired as a loadmaster with a freight company. I don't have any experience other than my PPL knowledge, but need to study for the interview that I hope I will have in a month or so. Hear the interview is very technical. I ordered the FAA's book of "Weight and Balance" to study for the technical. Does any one have any more manuals or such so that I could study for the interview? I will compensate the person who could loan or sell me a manual. Any Air Force/Cargo loadmasters is whom I'd like to talk to. Will the W&B book give me the knowledge to pass any tech questions for the interview? Thanks for any help.
-JSF
PS- The company just wants to see if I'm trainable.

You might also want a brief familiarity with HAZMAT shipping rules...this is pretty complicated so I wouldn'ttry to learn it all, just a brief overview.

jsf...shoot me a PM. Spent time as an ANG loadmaster. Best job ever...next to being up front flying. Definitely know weight and balance inside and out...otherwise, I'll shoot you some pointers through the PM. Let me know what questions you have in particular.

I think you only have to stay awake until the gear are retracted to be a load.

Just kidding

Just say "Check Complete" anytime they ask you a question... Oh yeah, learn to walk exactly 50' from an airplane and be able to light a cigarette in gusty winds.

Jokes aside, general knowledge of hazardous marterials and weight & balance should help out. Good luck.

I sent in my resume to the company, hope I can get an interview. I'm going out and buying a suit if I have the cash. Thw W&B book is pretty good, got a lot out of it. DUH!
