Hawker 800 and 1000
Are these the same type rating? I know they are both HS-125- and that the 1000 is really an extended 800, so it makes sense to me that they are, but wanted to ask someone who knew.
Thanks |
HS-125 includes
Hawker 125–1A Hawker 125–3A Hawker 125-400 Hawker 125-600 Hawker 125-700 Hawker 125-800/800XP I found this on http://www.proavi8or.com/pages/ratings.html Although I think it would be added since it really is just a larger 800 but I would also think it would have been on the list. I havent found too many people who offer the 125 type. Pan Am academy even seperates the training between the -700 and -800 |
I think they are different, but I could be wrong. I tried finding some info online, no luck. HS125 types for the Hawker, are the same, not including the 1000, again not sure. All you need is differences training, but the AC couldn't be more different. Weights, limitations, engines, avionics, apu's, on and on. Flight Options crews set a record for submitting NASA forms with Honeywell and Collins AC.

Different type ratings. 1000 has different engines. I used to work at Simuflite as a Hawker instructor and can tell you for sure that it is a different type rating.

Simuflite has the only Hawker 1000 Sim in the industry.

Hawker 1000 vs. 800 type ratings
The hawker 1000 is a BAE-125, the 800 is an HS-125. See the FAA website. http://registry.faa.gov/TypeRatings/
