Please get off the high horse. It takes all of 30 seconds to flip open the POH and reference something. I'm sure the entire time you're CFI'ing you never take your attention off of traffic scanning and cross checking instruments at the same time, but some of us are not so perfect.
+1, get over your self. |
The two of you have given me a great example of some hazardous attitudes to use with students. Thanks.

Haha, we're all very impressed. Keep up the good work! |

Wow, you are gonna go far in aviation! I would love to fly with you someday! |
So, to make sure I understand, the three of you feel it is appropriate for a safety pilot to read a book while the other pilot is under the hood? And if someone questions that, they are on a "high horse"?
You are certainly entitled to your opinions, as I am mine. I guess we'll just have to agree to disagree. Flying really is serious business, although the excellent safety record it enjoys often makes it appear otherwise. By the way, CE650, what do you consider to be going "far" in aviation? |
Sorry to interrupt the personal invective and get back to the question, but there is a POH statement that slips are limited to 30 seconds (for the F33A, not sure if that applies to the V-tails too). Pretty sure the tank minimum fuel limits for takeoff and 30 second max slip duration are both related to unporting.
