I use the Telex 850. It doesn't cover the whole ear, so it's a little noisy on the Mighty Beech. But, it's very light weight and comfy flying a long day. Also doesn't mess up my hair.

I fly the 1900c and I use my 3 year old Lightspeed Zulus. So far they've been working great, especially if I reduce the prop rpm to around 1450ish.

The clarity alofts iv used in the B350 have the same issue kinda. But it does transmit, just cant hear your own voice while transmitting. And you can hear yourself talk to your copilot just fine.
However I prefer the lightspeed zulu 2's for noise cancelling. I also find them more comfortable. I hate that little bar on the clarity's that wraps around the back of your head. If you bump it it knocks the headset out of place.

They're pricy but the Bose X or the new A20 are my fav. The New A20's have the broadest noise canceling range and are super comfy. I've flown 1900, saab 340, and a few other jets with them both. Hands down the best ear protection.

Using anything other than the QC15/Uflymike combo in a pressurized airplane is just silly.

Clarity Aloft is where it's at. I have used mine in Twin Otters, King Air 200 and 350's, CASA's, and a Global Express, never had any trouble transmitting or receiving, super comfortable. The only thing I would replace it with is another Clarity Aloft.

I wouldn't, but here's why. I bought a Clarity Aloft TSO model in December 2010. I had an earbud short out in July of 2012 after about 1000 hours of use. The customer service was good about sending a new one to me under the two year warranty, but the second had the other earbud short out in December 2013 after another 1000 hours of use. I really liked my Clarity Aloft in terms of comfort, but when it comes to durability, I can't spend that kind of money on a 1000 hour headset. I ended up going with a Bose, and although it's not nearly as comfortable, it has a far more rugged design and is quieter as well.

I must have gotten lucky, been using my clarity aloft for 4 or 5 years, never had an issue with it.
