Is there an ADF for COMM Frequencies?

Just curious how difficult it would be to use an old fashioned ADF with a COMM frequency.

Do you mean commercial AM Radio? Yes, it works just fine for that.

The frequency band assigned for NDBs is adjacent to the range for AM radio, and ADF receivers cover both bands.

If you mean aviation communication radios, no those are VHF and operate at a higher frequency range than the ADF.

I listened to the Cubbies win last Tues night. Works great.

Flight service stations used to be able to provide a VHF steer, but I haven't heard of it happening lately.

Some of the old military UHF radios had an ADF function to help with making an airborne rendezvous (with a tanker, for instance).

At United I used to put ball games on Chanel 9 using the ADF.
