Thoughts on future as a whole as delta said gojet and compass are losing flying for delta, American bringing flying in house and united having to get rid of 25 crj a due to expressjet deal which means at least 5 of 25 if not all from gojet. What will be hulas’ move

True but I wouldn't say we're f'd. If anything happens the odds are TSA will probably end up as part of one of the companies UAL owns either Manta Air or Commutair. Compass likely sold to Republic or Endeavor and Gojet will dissolve as planes are moved to Endeavor or parked.

With the staffing shortage right now its unlikely UAL would take the XRs without the pilots. Same for Blowjet and Compass.

Then again there is always the possibility the planes are taken away and Trans States takes the HK airplanes and runs an ADI type operation with charters until the MRJ arrives. This is unlikely but you never know with Hulas.

So I feel like United blocked the merger of TSH and RPA to buy TSA and somehow merge them with the new Expressjet to create a giant 145 operator.

UAL didn't block anything. They could no longer provide assurances to Republic that the XRs would be replaced with 145s because UAL pilots were successful in keeping their scope so the whole deal fell apart in August. Mana Air is UAL's backup plan to get better control over the 145 flying. We'll see if TSA is part of their plans, but it is most likely the XRs are with or without TSAs cooperation.

Who will then buy Mitsubishi and own the MRJs. Then they buy Frontier and bingo we end up flying the MRJ for Frontier. Who needs the XRs?

If Hulas were offered 250 million for the three airlines with the pilots keeping jobs and pay, or 250 million +1 with all pilots out of a job that day, what do you think Hulas would spend that extra dollar on?

Greed works both ways.

TSH trains pilots and gives out type ratings and manages flying and mx. In a sense, that is their entire business. They don’t sell tickets and it isn’t really their flying, it’s someone else’s codeshare, and it’s mostly not their aircraft.

They are a management company. As the flying threatens to do away as contracts expire, everything they themselves own starts to become a liability because it is largely personnel costs that are about to become nonproductive. As TSH starts to be squeezed, they ultimately will have to sell while the assets still have value.

Either that or try to get the financing to actually buy those MRJs and try to compete with Moxy against the big boys. But I think the likelihood of them just letting their assets become worthless if they have an opportunity to sell and the flying contracts are expiring isn’t high.
