If any of you Waterskiers have an app into UAL you will be put in a shorter stack for an interview. It is codified in our CBA and make sure your reps know about it as well so they can coordinate with the UALMEC.
“Subject to other legal obligations, the Company shall make reasonable efforts to fill Pilot vacancies with the individuals who satisfy United’s hiring standards, who have previously worked for carriers represented by ALPA, and who are no longer working for those carriers for economic reasons such as lay-offs or the shutdown of that carrier.”

Should I transition to XJT or move completely
Hey everyone - I just received my ATP with TSA last month and will be starting IOE hopefully in the next couple of weeks. As you know, the demise of TSA is very sad and I really enjoyed the people, training and all TSA has done. Yes, we had several weeks of break after systems (ie 6 weeks), and other long breaks throughout the rest of the training but TSA was there for me.
So now the dilemma: do I transition to XJET and reduce the training (if possible since I'm already qualified on the 145, or do I go the to the BR (big regional) and move to another aircraft, perhaps the CRJ. I'd like to at least start and finish my IOE and hopefully the 100 hrs FAA requires within the 120/150 day period. My clock started Jan 05. My most important criteria is being based in DEN or COS and second I'd like to stay with the EMB type. Also, I'll be 62 in April so only have 3 years in the gig and plan on staying where ever I now land and upgrading to CA. If I go to the BR on the CRJ, a CA in COS is reasonable at this time; but we all know that could change. Thanks for your suggestions.

Edit: I might be talking about what I've heard rather than what I've read. Ask a recruiter if you are frozen in your seat for a given amount of time before 65.

I was at TSA (briefly...furloughed just after checkride). I am now at Atlas.
Atlas is much different than you hear of on these boards.
If you have questions, or want info on Atlas, please PM me.
Good luck to everyone at TSA...
