Sadly this is what we permit in many industries...see Countrywide, GM, Eastern, WeWork, and a very long list of others. There is no consequence, indeed only a benefit, for failure. This will continue until enough individual voters decide we aren’t going to take it anymore.
My money is on no change, but I’m a jaded boomer. I hope younger folks make a dent in this nonsense.

It was a stipulation that TSH put on F9 to implement the flows at the 3 airlines. They (TSH) were trying to protect themselves from a mass exodus of pilots. I’m hopeful F9 cancels the TSA flow and holds interviews rather than just take the 2/month that the agreement allows.

Sorry guys. The UAL App used to ask if you were furloughed. One of my EGL FOs got hired because he was last class at ComAir. Check it out...
TSA's situation is a product of uncle hulas' treatment of his employees over so very many years. I regret this shut down for those of you left standing when the music stops. On the other hand, seeing hulas' house of cards cave is a little schadenfreude. No consolation for you, I know.
Best of luck. You WILL land on your feet, in a better situation. I've been there, in a much worse economy.

21-R Hiring Standards:
“Subject to other legal obligations, the Company shall make reasonable efforts to fill Pilot vacancies with the individuals who satisfy United’s hiring standards, who have previously worked for carriers represented by ALPA, and who are no longer working for those carriers for economic reasons such as lay-offs or the shutdown of that carrier.”
Although this is no Preferential Interview, of I were at TSA, I would fight for the preferential interview using all ALPA resources.

So with TSA shutting down, and the jets going elsewhere, where are these other regionals going to get the pilots to fly these extra aircraft? Also, who stays at TSA until the end? Lots of flying that still needs to be done. This sucks.

I don't know anyone at TSA but I've been emailing with UAL ALPA to see about getting them Preferential Interviews. A precedence is there. What I've found is that in the United CBA, there is this reference:

OO has always been able to staff any flying they accept. They will and have turned down flying they cannot staff (unlike some regionals).
