$49/Hr blended rate is pretty dang good...even if you're not flying in the CA seat, if you're used you'll be bringing home mid 50's to low 60's first year.
The suck of it is, if you plan on logging PIC from day one (as advertised) you might be waiting a bit. Unless all the planes come online, you'll likely be used as an FO for quite a while...Still, you won't find an FO rate that high in the regional industry without considerable seniority.
Instead of a CQFO program, it's essentially a "very well qualified FO program"

ORD to STL can be brutal. I know we fluctuate quite a bit as far as frequency so listing and getting the jump can be daunting, especially with us and G7 having domiciles here and an increasing amount of commuters due to the expansion of the AA flying here. Also, with STL closing as a hub for AA, lots of those guys are catching rides to ORD on the AA metal which limits spots on those flights. We also see a lot of full or oversold flights. If you can choose, I honestly think your best shot would be MDW on Southwest because most of their airplanes have two jumpseats and STL is a mini "hub" for them. I can't attest to recently, but I know it can be a struggle.
Also, don't forget that the company is advertising an RDU domicile and I would estimate a solid chunk of AA flying gets shifted that way.

Don't forget to add in all the crew members TSA/GoJet DH's back in forth. This drives the gates agents crazy in STL (and commuters). Then through in the morons that are on a DH that take the jumpseat so a revenue pax can get on.

Which should never happen if a commuter is around. If it is, email the JS rep immediately.

Best decision of my career to leave TSA! Been hearing horror stories from a guy in my class when I was there who upgraded! He even drives to work and he wishes he never upgraded! That place sucked 8 months out of my life! I should have seen the light when I wasn't asked a single interview question in my interview other than " when can you start!"

I know, QOL is huge, but a lot of newbies don't take that into consideration. QOL is also subjective and unknown until you get somewhere. It's also tied directly into pay which TSA has a pretty fine looking scale now. They want in and out of the regional life ASAP.
Training question: I'm looking at starting in the NOV 2 class under the CQFO program. What hotel do we stay at and should I bring a car?
