The company will not be paying the bonus if this is ratified. Honestly what are you looking for? If you think the next offer will be double what you're getting your wrong. This has all been direct negotiations with the company. If this gets voted down, you really want the same guys at the table as last time we had negotiations? Again, I don't think it's worth it to take a chance and vote this down. Could be a long and painful road for everyone involved. Do people really think the company just passed this offer across the table and the union took it? There were negotiations involved over several months. But I guess every pilot group should vote down the first TA reached because they must have a better offer in their back pocket. Go to a roadshow and learn a thing or two please.

Which is why I specifically said that it was increasing economic value, not that there aren't any concessionary items here or there. But overall, it's an economic improvement from current book.
AWAC's health insurance premium are going from 25% to 27%. Still second only to xjt. That's the only concessionary item and therefore the entire TA is an economic improvement. As for Mesa, it's still a slight economic increase as is Skywest's 'contract.' They may be lower tiered contracts, no doubt, but the point I was making to you was that these were not concessionary TA's as you asserted everyone was getting.

Do you honestly think they put this TA on the table just because they are a bunch of nice guys? This offer is driven by the need to staff the company, which will not change if this is voted down. KS is a great guy, but not above trying to get a feather in his cap with Hulas by getting a good deal for the company, and this TA is a very good deal for the company.
Like I said if you think this TA is a good enough deal for you economically, vote for it. If you think a better deal is out there then vote against it. But don't let some irrational fear that the company is going to take its toys and go home for 6 years due to a no vote intimidate you. It isn't realistic. Management always predicts gloom and doom if their offer isn't passed. It is called negotiation 101.
As I said in a previous post, if they had offered a $5-$7,000 bonus with a 1% pay raise for Captains then this TA would have passed easily, but all they are after is 50%+1 and this offer is all about seeing where that is. If it is voted down the company will come up with something better, based on where they think they need to be to get to 50%+1.

Exactly about the 50%+1. If this gets passed by a wide margin then the company has not done their job. We only get what we negotiate, not what we deserve. Every company gives you the doom and gloom scenario, and pilots fall for it EVERY time even though historically what really happens is the company gives the pilots something better and the company proposers. This managemt knows exactly what they're doing and have a lot of experience manipulating labor. They have the new planes, they now have tons of cash. In this climate, they can bill the mainline partners pretty much whatever they want because nobody can do the flying. They will do almost anything to keep the gravy train rolling that's why they wanted to get something done quickly. Like it's been said before, look at the FAs, they are all replaceable that's why they're still trying to negotiate with the company on things pilots have had for years. Why do you suppose that's the case for them but we reached some kind of deal quickly?

New planes??? What the hell are you talking about?? We don't have any new planes. All we have are beaten up/**** stained flying outhouses.. The ones we got form Eagle and ExpressJet are now in the worst shape ever. Multiple MELs, its ridiculous... If anyone votes yes on this TA, they're a sucker..
