Default Trans States weight question

Trying to commute tomorrow. Was told 145 A/C #s 801-809 are lower weight birds. Is that true?

IAD-CMH tomorrow is #802, and it's full. Want to head to DCA if it is one of the low weight carrying ones.

Thanks

802 is an EP (underpowered hog). It's been a hot minute since I've flown her and done the numbers on an EP, but it will all depend on the fuel load. Do what you gotta do man but if you've got a better option out of DCA, take it.

Carl,

So an EP has a lower allowable weight than the other versions of your E145s?

Thanks,

Brad

Yes. Max takeoff weight for the EP is 46,275 compared to an LR's 48,501. Max landing is 41,226 (EP), about 1,300 lbs lower than an LR.

@flyguppy - Looks like they switched aircraft. It's 842 now, an LR. And it shows it's only booked to 46.

@Saluki - Soon, my friend, very soon...

I thought 802 was a lease return months ago. It has been sitting at the hanger with the Ron kits for months, in storage for the lessor. Also 802 was on the airways side, not a spare.

See what happens when you leave! Hahah 802 is one of the new aircraft for United (more EPs on the way this summer I think yay) it's even painted with the Continental tail.

Ha! It's even got the blue radome nose because to hell with color coordination. White body, blue nose. God I'm giddy, the end is nigh!
