Trans States weight question
Trying to commute tomorrow. Was told 145 A/C #s 801-809 are lower weight birds. Is that true?
IAD-CMH tomorrow is #802, and it's full. Want to head to DCA if it is one of the low weight carrying ones. Thanks |

Carl,
So an EP has a lower allowable weight than the other versions of your E145s? Thanks, Brad |

Yes. Max takeoff weight for the EP is 46,275 compared to an LR's 48,501. Max landing is 41,226 (EP), about 1,300 lbs lower than an LR.

@flyguppy - Looks like they switched aircraft. It's 842 now, an LR. And it shows it's only booked to 46.
@Saluki - :) Soon, my friend, very soon... |
I saw that after I got off my trip.
Thanks! |
I thought 802 was a lease return months ago. It has been sitting at the hanger with the Ron kits for months, in storage for the lessor. Also 802 was on the airways side, not a spare.

See what happens when you leave! Hahah 802 is one of the new aircraft for United (more EPs on the way this summer I think yay) it's even painted with the Continental tail.

Since planes are going from the USAir side to the United side and most USAir ones are EPs expect to see more EPs roaming the United side soon. You are right 801-809 are EPs. Its not uncommon for those to be weight limited...I've seen as bad as limited to 46 pax a few times 48 is pretty common. I HATE seeing one of em on my commute because it means the jumpseat is about a 50/50 deal. The thing that really gets it is the zero fuel weight.

Mother of god...She (802) lives to see another day. What 2 A/C are sitting in front of the hangAr now with the Ron kits on?
Airport drill mimics flight with sick passengers - WSMV Channel 4 Scroll through the pics at the top, and BAM...801. |

So, did ya make it?
Other than the 1hr westbound ground stop for a level 2 rain shower (thank you FAA), all went well. Thanks for the assist! |
