Trans States Anyone?
I have searched the forum for info on Trans States and I am confused with the whole GoJets/Trans states Connection....Can you explain? Why does everyone dislike Go JEts so much? Would you work for Trans States.....Why or WHy not?

Go back in the past threads and do your reading. There are many heated discussions. Most on this forum think unfavorably about GoJets for good reasons. Others are indifferent.. There is promise of good equipement and quick upgrades. You just need to educate yourself and decide if the choice to go there is worth it if you end up being denied a job later, because someone interviewing you didn't like your decision.

Trans States is a great pilot group, and management (not like they have a choice at the moment) will give some low time guys an opportunity to prove they can fly a jet. So if you're low time, I say go for it, if you aren't low time, there are better regionals hiring at the moment.

TSA gives some low time guys a chance, my entire class for instance, however, the last several classes that have gone through have had a mixture of good flight time, and low flight time guys, both groups have been having trouble w/ getting through training. One set was failing out like crazy on orals, the other set is having trouble w/ both oral and sim.
I'm sure if you do a search, you'll learn a lil more about gojet. Basically, they're a seperate company, that is owned by the same management and housed in the same building as TSA. They fly larger aircraft, and have worse work rules, but some believe the flying should have belonged to TSA, and others say that TSA passed it up which is why gojet was given the oppertunity to be born. I dunno, it's B.S. stuff, and i'd advoid getting into it if you can avoid.
There are better regionals out there than TSA, if youve got the time, i'd look towards them...also, there are worse.

I worked at TSA...Simple..dont go. Great pilot group but management there makes things miserable. Go Jets sucks and screwed over the TSA guys for quicker upgrade times but worse work rules and lower pay. Goin to Go Jets MAY hinder you from getting a job somewhere else. Go Jet is an airline that is bringing the industry down...do some research to find out why. Oh, and they FAIL a lot on there checkrides and PC checks...do you want that on your record? Go to another airline that treats you well and hires low time guys there are plenty out there.

Another thing to be aware of, as has been mentioned in the past, is that going to Go-Jet now isn't the same as going there when all the sh*t went down with the TSA pilot contract. There was understandably some ill-feeling toward the guys that went over there in the beginning, but SURELY there's nothing wrong with someone going over there now for a job.
Look at a lot of airlines, and there are guys amongst the pilot ranks with some skeletons in their closet, but being hired there at a later time is different.
We shouldn't paint all Go-Jet pilots with the same brush.
