Since I commute, ORD would be prime for me.

Any ideas or thoughts?

Thanks
DC is likely going to be the junior base for the next few months until they get the co-domicile fully staffed. ORD shouldn't take long though.

I'm a senior FO and keep 13-15 days off with mid 90s-mid 100s of credit. A friend of mine who got hired within 3 months continually had 14 days off with mid 80s of credit. This was in ORD though.

Thanks so much for the above reply. If I sign up for the SRP (Senioriy Reserve Program) and I end up giving up the job before the start of training and joining a different carrier, does that count as an incomplete training event?

What system are you using to schedule? Flica??

Can you drop and trade trips down to your min guarantee??

How is TSA working that scheduling?

Thanks,

Hey I ended up doing exactly that. I was in the seniority program and then decided to go to PSA because of their Charlotte base. PSA sent an inquiry to TSA. I think the training director sent a letter simply stating that I didn't start training...no big deal.

We use a system called IOCC that is made by lufthansa. It's actually not great but it works. You can drop as long as there is coverage. Lately for FOs there has been coverage. I've been able to drop a few trips. You can drop yourself down below guarantee if you wanted to.

Thanks for the info!!

Would anyone mind posting a typical schedule? I am really excited about going to ORD as a base but will be commuting in. I am curious to see the earliest TSA departures typically from ORD. I am trying to judge my commute flights from my home airport.

Thanks!

ORD has some good schedules. I do see alot of afternoon reports. Also some decent early finishes. Id say there is alot of commutability. Of course seniority and who knows the future.

Where is your home airport? You can guage flights by looking at passrider.com. Though there are many other ways of looking at flight schedules.

For those curious about the training footprint, plan 3 months to go from day 1 to sim completion. Once you start IOE, you should do about 2 trips.

Lastly, hobby horse if you will, Study! Wherever you choose to go, I cannot stress enough that studying and learning this company and 145 will be of the biggest benefit to you. Good attitude: Im here to learn so lets do it. Bad attitude: Im an aviation God and TSA should be happy to have me. Outstanding attitude: Not only am I here to learn everything, but im gonna do it with style and make ground school "look" easy.

Best of luck

If someone doesn't mind posting what a typical reserve schedule looks like; 4 on, 3 off, etc. Also, are reserves heavily utilized? What if someone with a little seniority bid a reserve line?
