Different sides of the same coin. I like MCC, my friends love logbook 10. Both very similar with one exception, devices and platforms. IF you're apple only, no problems with logbook. If you're mixed platforms, then logbook isn't an option, go with MCC.

I'm a DEN pilot that has commuted out of there before. Doing DEN-ORD was a pain if you tried any UAL flights. I never missed a commute when I took SWA to MDW. AA/F9/NK were all pretty good options to get to ORD. STL is an easy commute, however the last flights leaving STL are kinda early and you'll have to commute to STL the day prior usually to start a pairing if you get STL based. If you live anywhere and commute to DEN, its pretty easy. I'd say at least 65% of all DEN pilots are commuters, if not more.

Update
Well... yet another "believe it when I see it" kind of announcement, but on the company call-in today there was some domicile and other news:
-Class sizes steadily increasing
-Still having a hard time covering attrition, but things are definitely improving
-DEN once again projected to be our biggest base with no more new-hires being sent to IAD/DCA or RDU
-Transfers from east to west should start happening en-mass as soon as August while the east coast flying ramps down through the end of the year
-Captain upgrades should continue and even pick up as they will have to to cover flying
