I’m a graduate of culinary school. Please refer to me as chef in the Crashpad from now on. The brisket will be ready at 6pm.

More importantly, when you EARN a title you should be referred to as such for life. You don't call DR. Smith "Mr. Smith." A senior Navy enlisted person is entitled to be called Master Chief Jones for life.

Indeed, your crash pad mate was entitled to be referred to as "Colonel" Zoomie if he wants. Its a gesture of respect, if nothing else.

The ALPA President should be referred to as "Captain." Randy Babbit was and his airline had failed. He wasn't flying because he had no airline to fly for.

Lighten up, Francis. ALPA and ALPA members have a whole lot more important fish to fry than the President's title.
$527,000 I believe, and that’s irrelevant. So by your logic I’ll refer to FOs who were once regional captains, but are no longer in that position, as Captain so and so. Makes sense. Ditto for the captains of other major airlines who went to JetBlue in management positions and who were on the seniority list (as FOs). Oh wait. No. I won’t. I’ll refer to them by their current title. And that’s first officer. Or in DePetes case, mister.

I called, and they said they didn't think they could get that all on a nametag.

Does your transcon land at 5:45pm? Don't forget to unplug the slow cooker!

Absolutely. When I introduce myself at dinner parties I tell people to call me by my first name, Captain.

As your President, I have a singular focus and standard—doing what is right by all of the pilots I represent, period.
In solidarity,

Capt. Joe DePete
ALPA President

ALPA President isn’t even a current and qualified pilot......

Did you really join APC yesterday just to post that?

Not enough trouble in the Delta world, not enough broken bones in MEC meetings yet, you have to come to a JetBlue forum to try to sow discord and discontent?

Nice job.

Neither was an option. FedEx doesn't have long-term LOAs, and he will reach the regulated age before his term as ALPA President is up.

The only fish ALPA is frying is swordfish tartar and lobster tail.

Reference our CBA, the entire concept of an LCC pilot flying for a B scale, pilots being told to pick up diapers and dirty needles for free during rest, etc.

They are on fire when it comes to old people flying light sport aircraft though. Watch out!
