Alpa vs nba union
 

I don't like paying union dues. At one of my airlines I was furloughed before it went bankrupt. My dues didn't help, I got no job replacement help.

I dont like that I am forced by closed shop to be a member. I would rather the union be so good that I choose to join.

But I am in ALPA. I hope for a good contract. Some have been good some not.

Some of the PAID " volunteers" do a good job some waste my $

BUT, I look at the NBA. Soon to be without a union, greed all around. Billionaire owners vs million air players. Some people think pilots are like this too. I think the NBA union is about to break up and ALL will suffer. Suffer!!

So I guess were stuck with the union for the better, or mediocre or worse.
