Need a answer to a simple alpa question!

Hello everyone, I am looking for anyone who knows almost everything there is to know concerning how long alpa will represent a pilot that was ask to leave a airline after a gross misunderstanding during a training issue. I was told there really is no time line. This issue happened in dec. of 2010. Am I out of luck. If anyone would like to reply, please PM me . Thanks!

Were you on probation?

In a nutshell what was the gross misunderstanding?

If you were on probation when you were let go, you likely will have difficulty getting anywhere.

Your union has a legal obligation to represent you. If you don't feel the union was doing their job, I would suggest you contact them and use the terms "Duty of Fair Representation" and "I'm getting a lawyer." That would likely get their attention if indeed you have been wronged by them.

In a nutshell, it all had to do with a certain clause in the training portion of our contract, that did me in after ten years at years at this airline during my first attempt at a captain upgrade. I got no help what so ever from Alpa.

I already did contact them, just like back in 2010, they were no help then, and they are no help now! That's why in need a info on statue of limitations on contesting this issue. Thanks for your reply.

You could start by posting here what you were told by ALPA in 2010. There is probably a reason why they "were no help". Whether or not it was a valid reason depends on the circumstances.

Share the circumstances so we can tell if you are in need of help, or a reality check. If you're just trolling here to bash ALPA, make that clear too. Plenty of bashers here. In fact, it's not hard to find comments about how ALPA is too good at defending pilots who "deserve to get fired!"

???

Your next step is to contact an attorney, not "some guy on the internet". So, anybody have some lawyer recommendations for this fellow?
