I'm a commuter and I would be opposed to VB.

Of course I live in West Bumfukk and commute to the city of sin and corruption and recognize that there would never be a VB for WBF.

Last thing I want to do is commute to the city of sin and corruption with fewer good and fewer sucky trips in the bidding pool.

I remember seeing that provision for PS/hotels and thinking it was a clever way of placating senior folks in base who were ostensibly keen on bidding "sweet" layovers at the VB. Now, I see it was also a very clever way to turn folks living in the VB against the VB. Oh, the irony! :D
