DEN timeline
Anyone have a reasonable guess on timeline for a new hire today to get based at DEN? (Reserve vs line holder doesn't matter.) I know there has been a lot of "it depends" with this question over the last few years, but with those movements kind of settling down, how does the crystal ball look now? Thx!

I was hired in Jul 2015. Not this vacancy, but the last one there were NO 737 slots, but it closed with 17 back fills. I got in with just a few under me. I start there in April. So 21 months.

DEN is totally random and unpredictable. Good luck, there is no way to accurately predict it.

That is for sure! For the near term we may see some movement back into DEN, since the company has been bragging about how profitable a hub it is. But then again; they may shrink it some more because it is profitable....😳

Virtual MCO 787 base. And after IAH closes.

One of the guys in my Indoc class was able to bid there 18 months after his hire date, so 21 months when all was said and done just like PA Slammer said. As hiring and Vacancy Bids have dropped off recently, two years sounds optimistic.
Jokes aside, DEN may forever be a NB base. But, if the CO ever does add DEN - LHR/FRA/CDG then 787s would be the logical airframe for it. |
787s have a NRT-DEN route...why not have a base there if they start adding WB routes?
