Thanks for the replies. Fresh off probation so sounds like not much to worry about if I want to wear it on occasion. Thanks again.

(Seriously.....there's a guy who actually wears a Members Only jacket with a neato United patch that he had made). |
I second that. I suggest we wear the proper uniform with the ALPA pin attached to the uniform tie. Anything less stands in opposition to the ALPA code of ethics to which we all aspire to represent. Donate to the PAC, attend local counsel meetings if/when you can and represent the airline/pilot group in the best way possible each and every time you put the uniform on. It isn't rocket science.

Just wear it. You'll PO 15 or 20 guys, yet please a hell of a lot more. Most won't care either way. :D

Did you not know the United uniform included a company tie when you signed on? Reading every checklist item is required as well, thought not everyone's style. |

I've heard some of the Caravan operators in the islands don't require long pants or a tie.

Every Sparky F/O should wear the ALPA tie. This might raise the blood pressure of some of the scab cAPTAINS enough to create some early vacancies.
