Furloughee payment?

Do any of you current UAL folks know why a pilot furloughed almost 14 years ago who turned down two recalls and resigned would receive a UAL check?

It's for $537.50 before taxes, has my old file # and last position and base listed. It's description is "Special Payment". I doubt I'm the only one. Weird.

I would guess an ESOP settlement to clear the books.

Dunno. I don't remember getting much of anything via ESOP but I guess that's as good a guess as anything else.

Just out of curiosity, what can a May '99 hire hold these days and how did they fare in the combined list after the merger?

The senior guy in the 5/3/99 class is one behind a 12/12/06 Cal guy (#8394 on current list). The junior guy in the 5/17/99 class is in the middle of 1/3/07 hires at Cal. (#8475 on current list).

You could hold FO on any WB in any base. You could hold NB Captain in SFO and EWR.

The only thing that surprises me is that payroll didn't send you an invoice for $537.50.

This is payroll. Its gone so swell since the merger.
