What airport?

EWR.

Those are the two gates we swapped for with Delta giving them our gates at JFK.

I agree however with unlimited slots now in EWR I'd say it's better to have them rather than someone else but I agree it's a PIA getting over there and back for our pax....

Yup. The only thing worse that us using them is somebody else.

Is it just me or has EWR been a complete mess WRT ground stops and taxi delays this summer?

IDK, maybe I've been lucky. But I've had exactly one day of EWR being messed up this year. The same as the number of days I've seen messed up ops in IAH and DFW. I even had a worse delay out of AUA last week than the worst I've seen at EWR this summer.

You've been lucky, or you fly the morning schedule rather than the evening schedule. The later into the day you go the worse the GDP gets, until you get into the later hours where scheduled arrivals are below capacity and they can start fitting in the delayed flights.

It's not just you. EWR has been a freaking nightmare this summer.

I have not missed EWR....except for leg-overs.:D
