If the ex-TWA furloughed drop dead date of May 2017 for recall to AA is a gauge, my crystal ball says 30 - 80 pilots will accept it.
This would be consistent with the percentages of the TWA pilots that accepted their drop dead call. Less than 50%, but not an insignificant number.
Realize this is just an educated guess based on experience. YMMV

Heard from a buddy who had a buddy do a CP meet & greet last week in EWR.
From the CP's mouth....
"Currently, to get a Hogan invite, you need at least 5,000 hours (civilian only of course), 5 internal pilot recs, and volunteer work on your app. By July, they may loosen on some of this stuff."
Again, second hand info so who knows, but thought I'd throw it out there.

That's a good question. I'm not the one doing the hiring - and it's a little frustrating when trying to get a friend on who has thousands of TPIC and quality 121 experience and a strong desire to be here - but I guess I can understand the company wanting to have in place several established means of attracting, vetting and hiring future pilots rather than relying exclusively on the military/regional off the street only model like we've done in the past. Even if it's just a trickle of pilots at least we can work out the kinks and have a solid process in place if there's a big swing in the pool of available mil/regional pilots over the next years. As an OTS I have mixed feelings about it.
